Resumo(s)
Pretende-se mostrar a validade do cruzamento trans e interdisciplinar entre três grandes áreas do conhecimento que envolvem a prática projetual: Reabilitação Arquitectónica, Sustentabilidade e Design. Sendo vertentes autónomas sobre as quais se têm desenvolvido conceitos e ações que privilegiam a sua especificidade, não existe hoje uma visão integradora destes sistemas que suporte estratégias, metodologias e regras que permitam a criação de mais-valias culturais e operativas aplicáveis ao processo de projeto. Assim, vão-se abordar todas as fases do Projeto de Reabilitação Arquitectónica, dando prioridade ao desempenho energético passivo e ativo favorecido pelo Design; caracterizar as principais vertentes de Design/Sustentabilidade, tendo como objetivo ligar o Design com o método de conceptualização da Arquitetura - Obra global; apresentar Diretrizes adaptadas de “A Green Vitruvius” para construção de um Edifício Verde, Diretrizes para Arquitetura efémera sustentável e Diretrizes da Reabilitação Arquitectónica Sustentável de Edifícios Históricos. Para verificar a Hipótese de investigação foram selecionados para Casos de Estudo quatro edifícios universitários: um edifício no Reino Unido, país europeu com utilização de Certificação BREEAM; três edifícios nos EUA com Certificação LEED. Escolheu-se como Obra de Referência em Portugal a Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa (FDUL). No sentido de criar uma normalização de princípios, ações e estratégias projetuais e no domínio da legislação com aplicação na reabilitação arquitectónica, como resultado direto desta investigação propõe-se um Enunciado de Questões em Fase de Projeto que possa funcionar como Checklist para orientar os Arquitetos nos objetivos da sustentabilidade e para alcançar edifícios com energia quase zero (NZEB) nos projetos que desenvolvem. Pretende-se que este enunciado seja utilizado como uma ferramenta operativa para os Arquitetos aplicarem os objetivos do Programa LEED à Conservação e Reabilitação Arquitectónica. Na investigação foi utilizada uma metodologia mista de base qualitativa intervencionista e não-intervencionista. Pretende-se que os resultados possam ser um contributo para o conhecimento disciplinar, uma vez que o tópico investigativo constitui um domínio ainda pouco estudado, de reflexão crescente, não existindo uma síntese operativa entre os três aspetos referidos: patrimoniais, de sustentabilidade e de design.
ABSTRACT: It is intended to show the validity of the trans and interdisciplinary cross of three major areas of knowledge that involve the design practice: Architectural Rehabilitation, Sustainability and Design. These being autonomous aspects on which concepts and actions, that favour their specificity, have been developed, there is still not an integrated vision of these systems that define strategies, methodologies and rules that allow the creation of a cultural and operational added value on this issue. Therefore, all phases of the Architectural Rehabilitation Project will be addressed, prioritizing passive and active energy performance enhanced by Design; the main areas of Design/Sustainability will be characterized, aiming to connect Design with the conceptualisation method of Architecture - Global Work; Guidelines adapted from "The Green Vitruvius" to build a Green Building will be presented, along with Guidelines for Sustainable Ephemeral Architecture and Guidelines for the Sustainable Architectural Rehabilitation of Historical Buildings. Four university buildings have been selected as case studies to verify the research Hypothesis: one building in the United Kingdom, an European country with the use of the BREEAM Certification; three buildings in the USA with the use of the LEED Certification. In Portugal, the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (FDUL) was chosen as Reference Work. In order to create a standard of principles, actions and projective strategies, and within the field of legislation with application in architectural rehabilitation, as a direct result of this investigation it is proposed a Set of Questions During the Project Phase that can act as a checklist to guide the Architects in the goals of sustainability and to achieve Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) in the projects they develop. This enunciation is aimed to be an operational tool for the Architects to apply the LEED Program for Conservation and Architectural Rehabilitation. In the investigation was used a mixed methodology of interventional qualitative basis and non-interventionist. Thus, it is intended that the results can be a contribution to knowledge, since the investigative topic is a barely studied field, of crescent reflection, not existing an operative synthesis of the three mentioned aspects: heritage, sustainability and design.
