Resumo(s)
Based on the presentation of the context of advanced training in information/knowledge organization at FLUL, this paper adopts a case study method with the objectives of (1) exploring the epistemological and curricular implications of the programs of the two currently taught curricular units, and (2) revisiting the theoretical debate between the terms ‘Information Organization’ (IO) and ‘Knowledge Organization’ (KO), discussing which titles would be most appropriate for the disciplines being taught. The response to these two objectives forms the two main parts of the paper, followed by the conclusion.
