O presente relatório resulta da frequência de estágio académico na empresa Girissima.com, para o cumprimento dos requisitos necessários à obtenção do grau de Mestre em Design de Comunicação pela Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa. O objecto de estudo da investigação é constituído pela prática do design de comunicação na comunicação digital nas redes sociais numa e-commerce de moda. Os objectivos previamente referidos foram atingidos na sua totalidade. Obteve-se uma visão ampla acerca do funcionamento de uma empresa de e-commerce de moda, assim como as suas estratégias no mercado, aprofundaram-se os conhecimentos acerca do modelo de negócio, o conhecimento sobre comunicação digital, o alargamento da rede de contatos e por último promoveu-se a abertura de novas portas, desafios e oportunidades para o futuro. Os dados e análises obtidas ao longo do estágio, dão resposta ao tópico investigativo, na medida em que evidência o modo como a adopção de uma estratégia de comunicação digital, pode contribuir para a mediatização e optimização de uma e-commerce, e consequentemente aumentar o número de vendas no website.
- The impact of inflation risk on forward trading and productionPublication . Broll, Udo; Kit Pong, WongThis paper examines the behavior of a competitive firm that faces joint price and inflation risk. Given that the price risk is negatively correlated with the inflation risk in the sense of expectation dependence, we show that the firm optimally opts for an over-hedge (under-hedge) if the firm’s coefficient of relative risk aversion is everywhere no greater (no smaller) than unity. We show further that banning the firm from forward trading may induce the firm to produce more or less, depending on whether the price risk premium is positive or negative, respectively. While the price risk premium is unambiguously negative in the absence of the inflation risk, it is not the case when the inflation risk prevails. In contrast to the conventional wisdom, forward hedging needs not always promote production should firms take inflation seriously.

Abreu, José GuilhermeOur study states the role that applied arts, as they were meant by Arts and Crafts movement’s socialistic ideario, have had in the expansion of the concept and use of art works, beyond the values of formal and symbolic representations which have supported the academic system of the fine arts since the Renaissance. By Modern Public Art, we refer to the movement launched, under the designation of “Public Art”, by a series of “Public Art Societies” which were created both in Europe and North-America in the last quarter of the 19th century, having as first major public appearance the cosmopolitan stages of the Great Universal Expositions. - Socially optimal contribution rate and cap in a proportional (DC) pension systemPublication . Simonovits, AndrásIn our model, the government operates a mandatory proportional (DC) pension system to substitute for the low life-cycle savings of the lower-paid myopic workers, while maintaining the incentives of the higher-paid far-sighted ones in contributing to the system. The introduction of an appropriate cap on pension contribution (or its base)—excluding the earnings above the cap from the contribution base—raises the optimal contribution rate, helping more the lower-paid myopic workers and reserving enough room for the saving of higher-paid far-sighted ones. The social welfare is almost independent of the cap in a relatively wide interval but the maximal welfare is higher than the capless welfare by 0.3–4.5 %.

- A cidade e os seus caminhosPublication . Moreira, Francisco Miguel Teixeira Lopes; Proença, Sergio dos Santos BarreirosO Projeto Final de Mestrado, A Cidade e Seus Caminhos – O percurso como elemento agregador da área monumental de Belém, tem como tema central a Reabilitação e Regeneração de uma área com características únicas na cidade de Lisboa. Com este trabalho procurou-se demonstrar que Belém é um local aglutinador de vários elementos culturais, e deve ser encarado como um todo. Para isso foram investigadas formas de melhorar essa ligação, bem como se propor uma solução que vá ao encontro das necessidades e potencialidades encontradas, a partir da eleição e transformação/criação arquitetónica de um percurso linear e espaços associados ao mesmo. Assim o objetivo principal deste trabalho passará por completar ou dar continuidade ao Percurso Monumental de Belém dentro de uma área de intervenção recorrendo para isso à reabilitação dos espaços públicos, à definição de novos percursos pedonais, e de novas áreas de recreio e lazer bem como à proposta de novas edificações que ajudem a melhor definir a ideia de percurso. Na conceção da proposta foram linhas guia de intervenção os seguintes conceitos: monumentalidade, património, bem como a dimensão patrimonial e cultural da intervenção urbana, assim como os equipamentos culturais como elementos agregadores e dinamizadores de vivências urbanas. Mais do que apenas um projeto tentou-se com este trabalho olhar para o território de forma crítica e pensar um pedaço de cidade como uma continuação de uma pré-existência importante.
