A alteração gradual da perspectiva face ao conto infantil e a ênfase dada ao seu papel como mediador e elemento projectivo da vida emocional em diferentes etapas do desenvolvimento, permite o cruzar da literatura e da psicologia num contexto pedagógico e terapêutico. A partir de uma análise de textos e autores que remetem para a influência da literatura infantil no desenvolvimento psicológico e com base na descrição da estrutura, acção e reflexão do projecto Ouvir o Falar das Letras , realizado com um grupo de crianças de Jardim de Infância e respectivas educadoras, procura-se explorar a importância do conto enquanto mediador e contentor ao longo do desenvolvimento.
The gradual perspective alteration towards the children's short story and the emphasis given to the its role as an intermediary and projective element of emotional life in different stages of development allow us to intercross literature and psychology in a therapeutic and pedagogic context. Having in mind the analysis of texts and authors that led us to the influence of children's literature in the psychological development and, with a basis in structure description, action and reflection of the project Listening the speaking of letters , realized by a kinder garden children's group and their own educators, I try to explore the importance of children's short story as an intermediary and container throughout development.
