Abstract(s)
O complexo da Quinta Braamcamp, situado na orla
ribeirinha no noroeste do Barreiro, albergou várias
atividades industriais ao longo dos anos que recentemente
cessaram. O lugar em que está implementado pertence a
um território único, em relação à sua envolvente, no qual
permanecem memórias e elementos que demonstram as
várias atividades que existiram neste local.
A escolha deste lugar para a intervenção surgiu devido à
grande carga de elementos marcantes para a cidade e por
ser uma oportunidade de reabilitá-los e de os devolver ao
Barreiro, daí o título do trabalho O Património Esquecido.
Deseja-se conjugar uma arquitetura já existente, com
memórias incorporadas, com uma arquitetura
contemporânea, de forma a proporcionar uma nova
valorização quer de elementos arquitetónicos quer do
espaço público.
Este projeto de intervenção pretende criar uma nova
vivência de Alburrica, reconectando-se com o centro da
cidade e dinamizando este lugar através da população
residente e de visitantes, permitindo ainda uma ligação
única entre o Barreiro e o estuário do rio Tejo, reinventando
as margens do rio. Pretende-se implementar várias linhas
programáticas, de caráter cultural, educacional, turístico e
ambiental.
ABSTRACT: The Quinta Braamcamp complex, located on the riverside in the northwest of Barreiro, housed several industrial activities over the years that recently ceased. The place where it is implemented belongs to a unique territory, in relation to its surroundings, in which memories and elements that demonstrate the various activities that existed in this place remain. The choice of this place for the intervention arose due to the great load of elements striking for the city and of being an opportunity to rehabilitate them and to return to Barreiro, due to this its title of The Forgotten Heritage. We want to combine an existing architecture, with built-in memories, with a contemporary architecture, in order to provide a new appreciation of both architectural elements and the public space. This intervention aims to create a new experience of Alburrica, reconnecting to the center of the city and dynamizing this place both through the present population and people from abroad, allowing a unique connection between Barreiro and the Tejo estuary, reinventing the banks of the river. The intention is to implement several programs, of a cultural, educational, tourism and environmental character.
