longo de diferentes períodos da história recente e do progresso
humano, o Vale de Alcântara foi alvo de uma expansão
desarticulada e descontrolada, sofrendo distintas transformações
que não respeitaram o seu território e alteraram a memória da sua
paisagem bucólica.
A instalação descuidada de infraestruturas no território criou um
vale fragmentado, constituído por zonas dispersas e sem sentido
de continuidade. Apesar da sua importância no sistema natural de
drenagem da cidade de Lisboa, não existe uma consolidação
coerente do local, uma coesão entre o artificial e o natural.
Partindo de uma revitalização parcial do território e da
reconfiguração da rede viária atual, são resgatadas as suas
valências naturais. Ao libertar esta área tão extensa devolve-se as
suas condições de habitabilidade e capacidades produtivas,
através de uma obra urbanística com caráter renaturalizante. É
criado um corredor verde recriando e reintegrando a linha de água,
bordada por terrenos agrícolas e espaços de lazer.
Inserido nesta proposta urbana o projeto desenvolvido incide sobre
os limites do parque, consolidando as encostas enquadradas como
pontes entre a cidade e o novo parque. O limite do vale, geológico,
mas habitado, procura no programa uma reflexão sobre a relação do espaço doméstico com o espaço natural.
ABSTRACT: Throughout different phases of recent history and human progress, the Alcântara Valley has been the target of an unarticulated and uncontrolled expansion, undergoing different transformations that do not obey its territory and have damaged the memory of its bucolic landscape. The careless installation of infrastructure in the territory created a fragmented valley, consisting of dispersed areas and with no sense of continuity. Despite its importance in the natural drainage system of the city of Lisbon, there is no consistent consolidation of the place, a cohesion between the artificial and the natural. Starting from a partial revitalization of the territory and the reconfiguration of the current road network, its natural valences are recovered. By liberating this extensive area, its conditions of habitability and productive capacities are restored, through a renaturalizing urban work. A green corridor is created, recreating and reintegrating the water line, embroidered by agricultural land and leisure spaces. As part of this urban proposal, the project developed focuses on the park's limits, consolidating the slopes framed as bridges between the city and the new park. The limit of the valley, geological, but inhabited, seeks in the program a reflection on the relationship between domestic space and natural space.
