Resumo(s)
O presente estudo teve como principal objectivo estudar a Qualidade de Vida no
Trabalho (QVT) e a sua relação com o Bem-Estar no Trabalho (BET). A amostra é
constituída por 64 trabalhadores de uma organização do sector do turismo com idades
compreendidas entre os 20 e os 65 anos (M=34.59, DP=9.24).
Foram utilizados para recolha dos dados o inventário de bem-estar afectivo no trabalho
(JAWS) de Warr (1990), e o Inventário de QVT (Rafael & Lima, 2008c).
Os resultados apontam para níveis positivos de QVT e bem-estar afectivo no trabalho, e
para uma relação positiva entre o bem-estar afectivo e a QVT; Características do
Emprego, Formação e Desenvolvimento de Competências Pessoais e Profissionais;
Promoção na Carreira; Relações sociais e justiça no trabalho; Equilíbrio trabalho e
família; Trabalho e Lazer. Verificaram-se diferenças significativas no bem-estar
afectivo no trabalho em função do Sexo, sendo o BET superior nas mulheres.
O modelo de regressão linear hierárquica ajustado permitiu verificar que os vários
factores apresentam em conjunto uma influência significativa no bem-estar afectivo no
trabalho, explicando 32.4% da variação total. Contudo, constatou-se que o efeito do
Equilíbrio entre o Trabalho e a Família era o único preditor estatisticamente
significativo para explicar a maior parte da percentagem da variância do BET.
Após a discussão dos resultados foram também apresentadas propostas para futuros
estudos e intervenções nas áreas do BET e QVT.
The present study aimed mainly to reach the goal of studying the Quality of Working Life (QWL) and its relationship with Job-related Well-being (JW). The sample consists of 64 active employers of a tourism industry organization between 20 to 65 years of age. (M=34.59, DP=9.24). The instruments used to data collection were the job-related affective well-being scale (JAWS) of Warr (1990) and the QWL Inventory (Rafael & Lima, 2008c). Results pointed out QWL and job-related affective well-being positive levels, along with a positive relationship between job-related affective well-being and QWL; Working features; formation and professional and personal development of skills; Career Promotion; Social relationships and work equity; Work-life balance; Work and leisure. Statistically significant differences were found in job-related affective wellbeing when related to gender, which results in a higher JW in females. The adjusted hierarchical linear modeling regression showed that several factors significantly influence the job-related affective well-being, explaining 32.4% of the total variance. However, the effect of Work-life balance resulted the only statistically significant predictor to explain the most percentage of the JW variance. Following the discussion of the results suggestions were also presented for future research and interventions in the JW and QWL fields.
