O presente relatório da prática de ensino supervisionada intitula-se O maior
ângulo: Declive e Inclinação e descreve o projeto de intervenção pedagógica que foi
concretizado no âmbito do Mestrado de Ensino de Artes Visuais através da
lecionação de uma unidade didática da disciplina bianual de opção de Geometria
Descritiva A à turma C do 10º ano na Escola Secundária D. Filipa de Lencastre, em
Lisboa.
A unidade didática escolhida para a prática de ensino supervisionada incidiu
sobre os conteúdos “Reta de maior declive” e “Reta de maior inclinação”. A sua
escolha, bem como a do método e das estratégias de ensino para a sua lecionação,
decorreram do conhecimento que se obteve acerca da turma C durante a observação
das aulas da professora cooperante. Dado o contexto de uma escola com uma oferta
educativa assumidamente direcionada para o prosseguimento de estudos no ensino
superior e uma turma em que todos os alunos expressaram intenção de o fazer, o
motivo subjacente à escolha da unidade didática acima referida foi a utilidade dos
seus conteúdos para a prática de uma futura profissão nos campos da Arquitetura e
em alguns campos da Engenharia.
Elaborou-se um conjunto de 16 problemas originais para os alunos
resolverem individual ou cooperativamente na aula em que se procurou cumprir três
objetivos: o objetivo de revisão dos conteúdos aprendidos no 1º período; o objetivo
de articulação destes com a aprendizagem dos novos conteúdos; e o objetivo de
redução dos traçados. A estrutura e grau de dificuldade dos problemas baseou-se na
dos problemas das provas de exame nacionais de Geometria Descritiva B (programa
antigo).
Para além da investigação teórica que precedeu a prática de ensino
supervisionada, este relatório inclui uma análise e reflexão acerca do trabalho
realizado bem como a apreciação da professora cooperante.
This report on supervised teaching practice is titled The greatest angle: Declivity and Inclination and describes the pedagogical intervention that was carried out with a view to obtaining a Master’s Degree in Teaching Visual Arts by means of teaching a didactic unit of the biennial optative subject of 10th grade Descriptive Geometry A to class C at Escola Secundária D. Filipa de Lencastre, in Lisbon. The contents of the didactic unit chosen for the supervised teaching practice consisted of “Line of greatest declivity” and “Line of greatest inclination”. The choice of that particular didactic unit as well as the teaching methods and strategies that were used ensued from becoming acquainted with class C during the observation of the cooperating teacher’s practice. Given the context of a school in which the educational offer was admittedly oriented towards higher education and a class in which all the students declared their intention to go to university, the motivation underlying the choice of the didactic unit mentioned above was the usefulness of its contents for the practice of a profession in the field of Architecture and some fields of Engineering. A set of 16 original problems was devised for the students to solve individually or cooperatively in class with the purpose of achieving three objectives: making them recall the contents that they learned during the 1st term; making them articulate the knowledge of those contents with the contents of the newly learned didactic unit; and making them reduce the number of lines they used when solving a problem. The problems were modelled after those contained in the national examination of Descriptive Geometry B (former programme) in terms of their structure and level of difficulty. In addition to the theoretical research that preceded the supervised teaching practice this report includes, at the end, an analysis and reflection about the work that was carried out as well as the cooperating teacher’s evaluation.
