Com a presente dissertação pretende-se saber se a Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) tem
uma política de mobilidade da informação e se a exerce como estratégia de gestão
operacional. Assim, a nossa intenção passou por evidenciar a importância da mobilidade
da informação para as instituições policiais modernas, ponderando a relação
custo/benefício que a implementação desta política pode ter nos processos de tomada de
decisão.
No nosso entender esta política não está a ser executada e/ou disseminada em toda a sua
plenitude. No entanto, os resultados obtidos permitem afirmar que a Instituição está a dar
alguns passos no sentido de capacitar, dotar e potenciar a mobilidade da informação,
lançando mão a novas tecnologias, incluindo a tecnologia móvel.
A PSP está preparada para desenvolver esta política, dado que atingiu um nível de
maturidade elevado que lhe permite utilizar tecnologia avançada. A aposta nesta política
teria como retorno, não os ganhos monetários, mas os ganhos sociais.
Estamos convictos que a aposta sustentada da PSP na mobilidade da informação, assente
em tecnologia móvel, permitirá fazer uma melhor gestão da informação. Ter acesso à
informação em tempo real e em qualquer lugar elevará a qualidade do serviço prestado
permitindo efetuar uma melhor gestão operacional.
With this thesis we intend to whether the Public Security Police (PSP) has mobility policy information and to exert as operational management strategy. So our intention underwent highlight the importance of mobility information for modern police institutions, weighing the cost/benefits that implementation of this policy can have in the decision-making processes. In our view this policy is not being performed and/or disseminated in all its fullness. However, the results obtained allow us to state that the institution is taking some steps to empower, equip and enhance the mobility of information, making use of new technologies, including mobile technology. The PSP is prepared to develop this policy, as they reached a high maturity level that allows you to use advanced technology. The focus in this policy would have to return, not monetary gains but the social gains. We believe that sustained commitment of PSP in mobility of information, based on mobile technology, will make a better information management. Having access to real-time information anywhere will raise the quality of service allowing make better operational management.
