Com o desenvolvimento da economia a nível mundial, os trabalhadores do
conhecimento, que possuem conhecimentos e tecnologia, tornaram-se cada vez mais
importantes para a composição de recursos humanos da empresa. Em Portugal,
surgiram cada vez mais empresas interculturais que se envolvem no mercado global,
entre eles, um número crescente de empresas multinacionais sino-portuguesas. A
presente dissertação baseia-se na teoria de dois fatores de Fredrich Herzberg e tem
como principal objetivo comparar os fatores de motivação dos jovens trabalhadores de
conhecimento portugueses e chineses.
Numa primeira fase, através da revisão de literatura, foi feita a apresentação dos
conceitos relevantes e a recolha de informação para a investigação, o que possibilitou
a formulação das hipóteses de investigação. Após a revisão de literatura, foi possível
determinar os 18 fatores de motivação segundo a teoria de dois fatores. Através do
desenvolvimento de um questionário online, obtiveram-se 89 respostas válidas.
Conclui-se pela existência de diferenças significativas entre os principais fatores de
motivação comparando os colaboradores do conhecimento de nacionalidade chinesa e
portuguesa.
With the development of the economy worldwide, knowledge workers, who have knowledge and technology, have become more and more important for the company's human resource composition. In Portugal, more and more intercultural companies that engage in the global market have emerged, among them, an increasing number of Chinese-Portuguese multinational companies have also emerged. This dissertation is based on Fredrich Herzberg's two-factor theory and its main objective is to compare the motivation factors of young generation Portuguese and Chinese knowledge workers. In the first phase, through the literature review, the presentation of relevant concepts and the collection of information for the research was made, which enabled in the formulation of the research hypotheses. After the literature review, it was possible to determine the 18 factors of motivation according to the two-factor theory. Through the development of an online questionnaire, 89 valid responses to the research were collected. It is concluded that there are significant differences between the main motivational factors when comparing Chinese and Portuguese knowledge workers of Chinese and Portuguese nationality.
