| dc.description.abstract | Inserida nas portas de Lisboa, em Cabeço de Montachique, junto à autoestrada oeste A8, sustenta-se do passado o Sanatório Albergaria Grandella. Trata-se de uma herança deixada pelo Clube dos Makavenkos, sociedade representada por grandes personalidades do século XX, como o comercial Francisco Grandella, conhecido por ter construído os armazéns Grandella, no Chiado, e o arquiteto Rosendo de Carvalheira. Ao longo dos anos este Sanatório foi sendo esquecido pela população, como muitos outros Sanatórios, que apoiavam a cura contra a tuberculose, que se alastrava principalmente na época da Revolução Industrial. O seu esquecimento levou muitos dos sanatórios ao abandono e ao estado de ruínas, após a introdução dos antibióticos, porém o Sanatório Albergaria Grandella representa uma exceção na trajetória da sua história e do seu nome. Assim, foi fundamental perceber as componentes que o levaram a este estado de ruína, e ao seu desvio como Sanatório na história, chegando à conclusão que este nunca chegou a representar um lugar. O desafio no entanto foi inseri-lo num programa similar ao que este estava predisposto a ser, criando uma nova estrutura e dotando-o de uma identidade. Partindo assim do pressuposto, que a reabilitação será o suporte deste novo programa, abrangendo a componente da terapia muscular e a hipoterapia. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: Inserted at the gates of Lisbon, at the Cabeço de Montachique and next to the highway A8 west of the past holds the Albergaria Grandella Sanatorium. It is an inheritance left by the Makavenkos Club, a society represented by great personalities of the twentieth century, such as the commercial Francisco Grandella, known for having built the Grandella warehouses in Chiado and the architect Rosendo de Carvalheira. Over the years this Sanatorium has been forgotten by the population, like many other Sanatoriums, which supported the cure against dominant tuberculosis, especially at the time of the Industrial Revolution. Its oblivion led many of the sanitariums to abandonment and to the state of ruins, after the introduction of the antibiotics, however the Sanatorium Albergaria Grandella represents an exception in the trajectory of its history and its name. Thus, it was fundamental to perceive the components that led to this state of ruin, and to its deviation as Sanatorium, in history. Coming to the conclusion that this never became a representation of place. The challenge however was to insert it into a program similar to what it was predisposed to be, creating a new structure and endowing it with identity. Starting from the assumption, that the rehabilitation will be the support of this new program, covering the component of muscle therapy and hipotherapy. | pt_PT |
