Projetar na Memória surge através da descoberta do lugar da Quinta do Botelho, pois foi a partir do mesmo que surgiu a admiração pela preservação da memória do que ali permanece.
É nesta relação que o trabalho se propõe refletir sobre a reabilitação do património e de que forma a memória do lugar surge como uma influência neste procedimento. É portanto nesta afinidade que surge uma forte conexão entre Memória, Lugar, Património e Reabilitação.
Em Projetar na Memória pretendeu-se criar um discurso crítico com bases na história e na atualidade, onde obtém forma através de uma proposta de reabilitação da Quinta do Botelho, localizada em Ponta Delgada. A quinta originalmente vocacionada para o uso de quinta de produção e de recreio é agora adaptada para um novo uso de centro cultural, existindo sempre o cuidado em criar um diálogo entre contemporaneidade e memória do lugar.
ABSTRACT: Projecting in Memory arises from the discovery of Quinta do Botelho, since it was through it that the admiration for the preservation of the memory of what stands there came up. It is through this connection that this work proposes to reflect on the rehabilitation of patrimony and in which way the memory of the place appears as an influence on this procedure. It is, therefore, through this affinity that a strong connection between Memory, Place, Patrimony and Rehabilitation arises. In Projecting in Memory, the intention was to create a critical discourse based on history and the present time, that gains shape through the proposal of rehabilitation of Quinta do Botelho, located in Ponta Delgada. The farm, originally used as a production and leisure farm, is now adapted to a new purpose of cultural centre, where there is always the care in creating a dialogue between contemporaneity and memory of the place.
