As prioridades das empresas invertem-se perante mercados em contração e sem quota de mercado para conquistar. Em vez de centrarem os investimentos na expansão do negócio, as empresas focam-se mais na racionalização de custos e na transformação do negócio, de forma a produzirem melhorias nos desempenhos e a reduzirem os custos operacionais. Nesta linha de pensamento, a logística representa uma função essencial na melhoria das operações respeitantes ao transporte e armazenamento dos materiais, pautando sempre pela redução de custos e por uma aposta superior do nível de serviço prestado. Neste trabalho de projeto, realiza-se uma análise de modo a compreender o funcionamento da empresa Ambitrena Valorização e Gestão de Resíduos, S.A., nomeadamente ao serviço logístico prestado, representado pela descentralização dos seus parques e falta de comunicação eficaz, o que representa muitas vezes serviços ineficientes. De acordo com a revisão de literatura, será efetuado um esboço daquilo que poderá ser a configuração estrutural do serviço logístico da empresa, havendo lugar a uma proposta de centralização das operações logísticas, de forma a reduzir custos com o transporte de cargas e consecutivamente a melhorar o desempenho logístico.
Companies priorities reverse when in contraction markets and without market shares to conquer. Instead of focusing on a business expansion, companies focus more on the rationalization of costs as also on the transformation of the business, trying to improve the performance as well as reducing operational costs. In this line of thought, logistics represent an essential role in the way to improve procedures related to transportation and storage of materials, having always in mind cost reduction and the improvement of their services. In this project, it’s analyzed the Ambitrena - Valorização e Gestão de Resíduos, S.A. enterprise with the objective of understanding the operation methods of this company, mainly to the logistic service, represented by the decentralization of the parking lots and lack of effective communication, which often represents inefficient services. According to the literature review, it will be done a sketch of what could be the structural configuration of the logistic service of the company, having a proposal to centre the logistics procedures, with the purpose to reduce costs with cargo transportation and also to improve logistics performance.
