In this context, the work consists of a rehabilitation project for a ancient residential building, in the historic center of Castelo Branco city, located at Mouzinho Magro street, focusing in particular, the Interior Design issues, as well the aspects related with the thermic conditions. The conceptualization of space was based on the sense of functionality and modernity, taking advantage of factors such as the exploitation of the natural light and also from the building techniques and materials, in the perspective of promoting comfort and harmony. Additionally, we also presented a proposal for redevelopment of outer space, corresponding to the backyard, following the same conceptual line, in order to improve the ambience surrounding.
