O presente estudo versa sobre a requalificação de um Paço Senhorial na Freguesia de Tentúgal, localizado nas contiguidades da vila ao distrito de Coimbra.
O principal objectivo desta proposta assenta no desenvolvimento económico e cultural da vila, com o propósito de a valorizar e responder às suas carências, de modo a suspender a queda demográfica apresentada nas últimas décadas, atraindo novos investimentos e habitantes.
Durante a investigação das carências do local, foi fundamental o seu estudo histórico, bem como a pesquisa de campo com a população residente.
A requalificação do Paço Senhorial participa no objectivo principal e pretende restabelecer uma ligação entre a população e a história deste conjunto edificado, dado que a memória e a identidade do lugar influenciaram a forma como se definiu conceitos e ideologias arquitectónicas aplicadas.
No seguimento, foi realizada uma análise sobre o legado e sobre o processo evolutivo do Paço, o edifício principal e o celeiro, com a finalidade de obter uma adequada compreensão do edificado, de modo a não perder as suas características na aplicação de um novo uso.
A concretização do projecto de requalificação teve como apoio a observação de um conjunto de obras de referência, com características similares, consideradas relevantes na contribuição de soluções já experimentadas com sucesso. Posteriormente, foram criadas ideias para optimizar e rentabilizar cada espaço existente, e por fim, foram propostas ampliações para atender a todas as necessidades de um complexo polifuncional.
A proposta arquitectónica final tenta manter a história e a identidade do Paço. Devido à sua beleza, potencialidade e localização estratégica, o intuito foi criar novas valias para o enriquecimento espacial e, consequentemente, proporcionar um resgate da essência da vila, planeando oferecer mais qualidade de vida, estrutura e emprego aos actuais e futuros residentes.
ABSTRACT: The present study is about the requalification of a manor house in the parish of Tentúgal, contiguous to the village of Tentúgal, which belongs to the district of Coimbra. The main objective of this proposal is based on the economic and cultural development of the village, with the purpose of valorising it and responding to its needs, in order to suspend the demographic fall presented in the last decades, attracting new investments and inhabitants. During the investigation of the local needs, its historical study was fundamental, as well as the field research with the resident population. The requalification of the Paço Senhorial participates in the main objective and intends to re-establish a link between the population and the history of this building complex, given that the memory and identity of the place influenced the way architectural concepts and ideologies were defined. Following this, an analysis of the legacy and evolutionary process of the Paço, the main building and the barn was carried out, with the aim of obtaining an adequate understanding of the building, so as not to lose its characteristics in the application of a new use. The implementation of the requalification project was supported by the observation of a set of reference works, with similar characteristics, considered relevant in the contribution of solutions already successfully experimented. Afterwards, ideas were created to optimise and make profitable each existing space, and finally, extensions were proposed to meet all the needs of a poly-functional complex. The final architectural proposal tries to maintain the history and identity of the Paço. Due to its beauty, potential and strategic location, the intention was to create new values for spatial enrichment and, consequently, to provide a rescue of the village's essence, planning to offer more quality of life, structure and employment to current and future residents.
