This paper focuses its analysis on the painting of José Carlos Naranjo. The approach to his universe will carry through from three points of view. First, from the inquiry into his personal imaginary through nocturnal spaces and figures behind or in shadow. Second, from the study of his work process from a painting built intuitively.
