O presente trabalho tem como objetivo explorar o papel de um IT Business
Analyst, especificamente no contexto do estágio curricular realizado na Galp S.A., na área
de IT & Digital Transformation.
No mesmo são apresentadas as temáticas de Sistemas de Informação, Business
Analysis, o papel que um IT Business Analyst deve desempenhar e as suas principais
competências numa era onde as maiores organizações se encontram em fase de
Transformação Digital.
Após a apresentação da revisão da literatura é apresentada a entidade onde
decorreu o estágio, especificamente o seu propósito, o modelo de governo e a área
específica de IT & Digital Transformation da Galp.
Procurou-se ainda descrever as diferentes atividades realizadas ao longo do
estágio curricular e a análise desta experiência como IT Business Analyst. Concluindo-se
que o papel de um IT Business Analyst é multidisciplinar onde não só são as competências
técnicas importantes como as competências interpessoais e como esta função cria valor
para as organizações.
The present work aims to explore the role of an IT Business Analyst, specifically in the context of the curricular internship held at Galp S.A., in the IT & Digital Transformation area. This work addresses topics such as Information Systems, Business Analysis, the role of a Business Analyst, and the main skills a Business Analyst must have in an era where the largest organizations are in a Digital Transformation phase. After presenting the literature review, the entity where the internship took place is presented, specifically their objectives, governance model, and the specific area of IT & Digital Transformation at Galp. The activities carried out during the internship and the experience as an IT Business Analyst were also described. In this way, it was concluded that the role of a Business Analyst is multidisciplinary where not only are technical skills important but also interpersonal skills and how this role creates value for organizations.
