The following report refers to a project for the city of Lisbon that is both transverse to a territorrial, urban and architectural scale constituted by itself as a summary of the investigation and work process. Located on an expectant and precedent location of a consolidated urban mesh – by nascent of Campo Grande – the regeneraton and ampliation project of the Universidade Lusófona is also perceived as a legitimation of the requalification of this spot in order to configurate a new identity, consistency and unity. The ‘school building’ role to feasibly a re-habitation was taken in charge at its most extensive sense both through the ‘public house’ and city idea and the belief that offers potencial to re-qualificate a spot by the urban and social relations that summarizes. The process is established through the adoption of a modular element and therefore supported in the disciplinary concepts of object-city, structuralism and critical regionalism, based on the studies of the Venice Hospital, the Free University of Berlin and the Teachers Training School of Setubal. The final presented project is constituted as a conclusion of this process and tries to integrate a set of unities and urban relations in its programme in a way to constitute a permeable and contextualized structure.
