O presente Relatório de Estágio foi elaborado no âmbito do Estágio Curricular feito na IndieLisboa - Associação Cultural, de outubro de 2024 a maio de 2025, integrado no Mestrado em Tradução da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. O Relatório tem um primeiro capítulo onde se fala sobre o estágio em si: como foi a escolha do local de estágio, sobre a entidade de acolhimento e os Festivais de Cinema para os quais trabalhei, o IndieJúnior e o IndieLisboa. Adicionalmente é feita uma descrição do estágio, especificamente da última parte, a legendagem eletrónica. Segue-se um capítulo onde são exploradas várias questões e abordados vários problemas de tradução ao longo do trabalho no estágio, nomeadamente problemas de linguagem, problemas técnicos, problemas na legendagem e questões culturais. No terceiro capítulo é discutido o tema da invisibilidade do tradutor, bem como as consequências de não haver uma comunicação direta entre os tradutores e os criadores das obras e o impacto que a inteligência artificial está a ter na indústria da tradução.
This report was prepared as part of the curricular internship carried out at IndieLisboa - Cultural Association from October 2024 to May 2025 within the scope of the Master's degree in Translation at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. The first chapter discusses the internship itself, including how the internship entity was chosen, details of the entity in question and the Film Festivals for which I worked: IndieJúnior and IndieLisboa. There is also a description of the internship, specifically the final stage: electronic subtitling. This is followed by a chapter that explores various issues and problems encountered during the internship, including language, technical and subtitling problems, as well as cultural issues. The third chapter explores the theme of the invisibility of the translator. The discussion further explores the ramifications of translators having no direct contact with the authors of the original works, as well as the impact that artificial intelligence is having on the translation industry.
