Resumo(s)
A desconexão que atualmente se presencia entre o edificado e a sua envolvente tem vindo a contribuir para um aumento exponencial do consumo de energia e da dependência de sistemas de climatização mecânicos. No contexto atual, os conceitos utilizados na arquitetura bioclimática podem ser potenciais aliados numa ação de reabilitação, sendo que esta surge de uma vontade de mudança de paradigmas, regressando a um tipo de construção que se enquadre na sua localização, tirando proveito das especificidades do clima e das características ambientais da região.
Tendo como área de implantação um terreno com edifício em ruína, no núcleo muralhado da cidade de Lagos, Distrito de Faro, propõe-se alcançar uma solução económica e ambientalmente viável para a construção de um hotel de charme. Procura perceber-se em que medida os princípios da arquitetura bioclimática poderão contribuir para a melhoria das condições térmicas do edificado, de que forma podem ajudar a uma redução de consumo energético.
ABSTRACT: The current disconnect between the buildings and its surroundings has contributed to an exponential increase in energy consumption and dependence on mechanical climate systems. In the current context, the concepts used in bioclimatic architecture can be potential allies in a rehabilitation action, which arises from a desire to change paradigms, returning to a type of construction that fits in its location, taking advantage of the specificities of the climate. and the environmental characteristics of the region. Having as its implantation area a ruined building, in the walled core of the city of Lagos, Faro District, it is proposed to reach an economically and environmentally viable solution for the construction of a Boutique hotel. It seeks to understand to what extent the principles of bioclimatic architecture can contribute to the improvement of the thermal conditions of the building, how they can help to reduce energy consumption.
