| dc.description.abstract | Numa cidade como Lisboa, em que a regregação social e os processos de heterogeneidade e de (re)centralização são problemas atuais dado que cada vez mais se expandem os limites urbanos, são patentes algumas lacunas e insuficiências no tecido urbano. A oriente da cidade existem espaços de transição que serão o ponto de partida para a nossa intervenção. Tratando-se de um território deixado ao acaso e ao abandono durante largos anos e que resume a ligação entre o Centro Histórico e o Parque das Nações - o Vale de Chelas repleto de preexistências que remetem para a era industrial - assume-se como um território onde é imperioso reconhecer um lugar de memória que se pretende preservar. Debruçamo-nos sobre questões do nosso quotidiano e colocamos a interrogação vital: qual será o desfecho e o futuro deste território? Conduziremos esta investigação de maneira a que consigamos obter respostas ou soluções às diversas fragilidades do lugar em análise, tanto a nível urbano como a nível social. Desta forma, interpretamos a Ruína enquanto um objeto ou matéria que alimenta o vínculo entre a memória daquilo que representou, em tempos, e como matéria ou elemento físico que permite transpôr para o futuro a sua resistência e refuncionalização através de um processo de reinterpretação. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: In a city such as Lisbon, where the social reaggregation and the process of heterogeneity and (re)centralization are current problems, the urban space is usually characterized by some gaps or insufficiencies. At the eastern part of Lisbon there are spaces of transition which will be the starting point for our intervention. As a territory forsaken and left at random for decades, it’s assumed that it is absolutely imperative to recognise it as a place of memory that we intend to preserve. In itself represents the valuable between the Historic Center and Parque das Nações, where Chelas valley is filled with preexistences from the Industrial Age – it’s assumed that it is absolutely imperative to recognise it as a place of memory that we intend to preserve. As we ponder over matters of everyday life and we shall the vital question: what will be the outcome and future of this territory? This investigation shall be conducted in a way that we can obtain answers or solutions to the diverse fragilities of the place under analysis, from the urbanist point as well as the social point. Thus, we interpret the Ruin as an object or matter that feeds the bound between the memory of what it stood and the matter or physical element that allows to transpose its resistance and refunctionality to the future through a process of reinterpretation. | pt_PT |
