Abstract(s)
A barreira linguística é, frequentemente, apontada como um dos fatores que mais
limitam o desenvolvimento dos sistemas educativos em África, pois a grande maioria
das crianças inicia os seus estudos numa língua que não domina. Na literatura, uma
miríade de autores defende que a solução passará pela implementação de sistemas de
ensino bi/multilingues, baseados no uso da língua materna dos aprendentes, sobretudo
durante os primeiros anos de escolarização. Neste projeto de investigação elaborou-se
um conjunto de fichas didáticas a partir de materiais autênticos, para o ensino bilingue
na Guiné-Bissau, esperando-se, assim, poder contribuir para o desenvolvimento do
ensino do português como língua segunda no país e para a valorização do crioulo
guineense, não só enquanto língua facilitadora do ensino-aprendizagem, mas também
como elemento basilar na construção identitária guineense. A investigação desenvolveuse
em três fases: 1) Pesquisa bibliográfica; 2) Recolha de materiais; 3) Didatização dos
materiais.
The language barrier is often considered a major factor limiting the development of educational systems in Africa, as most children begin their studies in a language they do not master. Numerous authors in the literature argue that the solution lies in implementing bi/multilingual education systems, using the learners’ mother tongues as a medium of instruction, especially during the early years of schooling. This research project developed a set of worksheets developed using authentic sources for bilingual education in Guinea-Bissau. These aim to contribute to the development of Portuguese as a Second Language teaching in the country and to the enhancement of Guinea-Bissau Creole not only as a language facilitator but also as a fundamental element in the construction of Guinea-Bissau’s identity. The research was conducted in three phases: 1) literature review; 2) collection of materials; 3) didacticization of the materials.
