Neste estudo pretendeu-se conhecer o que pensam os alunos do 10ยบ ano de
escolaridade sobre a utilizaรงรฃo de wikis durante a leccionaรงรฃo da unidade โDas Fontes
de Energia ao Utilizadorโ. Alรฉm disto, pretendeu-se identificar que potencialidades
atribuem os alunos ao uso de wikis, verificar que competรชncias desenvolvem os alunos
quando sรฃo usadas wikis na sala de aula e conhecer que dificuldades revelam os alunos
quando se usam wikis na sala de aula. Para serem atingidas estas finalidades foi
utilizada uma metodologia qualitativa. Participaram no estudo 28 alunos de uma
escola no concelho de Setรบbal. Foram utilizados vรกrios instrumentos de recolha de
dados: registos รกudio, entrevistas de grupo focado e documentos escritos. Na anรกlise
de dados estes foram codificados e categorizados, procedendo-se a uma anรกlise de
conteรบdo. Os resultados obtidos indicaram que a utilizaรงรฃo do wiki tem
potencialidades nas utilizaรงรตes diversificadas da ferramenta, na colaboraรงรฃo entre
colegas, no trabalho a distรขncia e nos baixos custos associados. Os alunos
desenvolveram competรชncias de comunicaรงรฃo, de conhecimento substantivo,
atitudinais e digitais. No entanto, os alunos revelaram dificuldades digitais associadas
ao local de publicaรงรฃo dos trabalhos e ร iniciaรงรฃo ao wiki.
This study was intended to know what pupils of the 10th grade think about the use of wikis on their classes on the unit โDas Fontes de Energia ao Utilizadorโ. Besides that, the study was intended to identify what potentialities do pupils give to the use of wiki, to understand what competences do pupils develop when wikis are used in the classroom and to understand what difficulties do pupils have when wikis are used in the classroom. A qualitative research methodology was used on this study. Participated in this study twenty-eight pupils belonging to a school located in Setubal. Several instruments to collect data were used: naturalistic observation, focus group interview, and written documents. Data analysis consisted on coding and categorizing data. The results show that wikis have many potentialities such as to allow pupils to use different functions and to collaborate with their peers; to improve their e-learning skills; and the wikis have low cost associated. Furthermore, the pupils developed communication, knowledge, attitude and digital competences. However, pupils felt digital difficulties related with the spot for publication of their work and the initiation to wiki.
