Resumo(s)
O presente projecto final de mestrado, reconhece o passado e a memória afecta ao lugar, a evolução da cidade de São Tomé e o Tchiloli como um veículo da identidade santomense, no ímpeto de preservar a Arquitectura e património de São Tomé e Príncipe, culminando na formulação de hipóteses para uma renovação contemporânea.
Considerando o contexto em que se insere, recorre-se ao estudo dos elementos primários e dos factos urbanos para definir um programa base de requalificação do sistema urbano do Parque Popular, enquadrado numa visão maior, com a pretensão de preservar o sentido identitário do lugar.
O (re)desenho e a respectiva intervenção, parte da reflexão de sistemas urbanos à escala pedonal, na consideração analógica dos espaços de ensino performativos e de conservação dos movimentos e técnicas artísticas locais, reflectindo um acto de projectar consciente e sustentável.
ABSTRACT: The present master's project recognizes the past and the memory that affects the place, the evolution of the city of Saint Thomas and the Tchiloli as a vehicle of the Saint Toméan identity, in the impetus to preserve the architecture and patrimony of Saint Thomas and Prince, culminating in the formulation of hypotheses for a contemporary renewal. Considering the context in which it is inserted, it is used the study of the primary elements and the urban facts to define a basic program of requalification of the urban system of the Popular Park, framed in a greater vision, with the pretension of preserving the identity sense of the place. The (re)design and the respective intervention, is based on the reflection of urban systems at the pedestrian scale, also in the analogical consideration of performative teaching spaces and conservation of local artistic movements and techniques, reflecting a conscious and sustainable project.
