Esta tese colocará em evidência a importância do triângulo constituído pelo desejo,
imaginação e prazer, em A La Recherche du Temps Perdu, e com isso apresentar uma teoria
poustiana sobre aquilo que constitui a criação artística. Far-se-á também ver como é que o
processo desencadeado por este triângulo ganha forma em vários passos da Recherche, e
com isso perceber o modo como Marcel se relaciona com os seus três vértices. Por fim,
procurar-se-á mostrar de que forma essa teoria sobre a arte entra em diálogo com aquilo que
Descartes defende em Meditações Metafísicas.
This dissertation will reveal the importance of the triad constituted by desire, imagination, and pleasure in A La Recherche du Temps Perdu. From there, a Proustian theory about what constitutes artistic creation will be advanced. It will also be shown how the process triggered by this triad takes shape in several passages from Recherche, which will lead, in turn, to an understanding of how Marcel relates to each of the three elements. Finally, a relationship between the Proustian theory on art and Descartes’ Metaphysical Meditations will be suggested and described.
