Resumo(s)
Este estudo procura analisar e refletir a relação entre Paulo Freire e o Movimento Graal,
através do encontro destes com Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo e as líderes do Movimento, até
à construção da experiência educativa em Portugal e das consequentes práticas e políticas
sociais esboçadas pelo Graal(1970 a 1974). O contributo desse encontro, pesquisado através
da análise bibliográfica, documental e entrevistas, é o objetivo principal deste trabalho que
pretende, compreender o percurso construído em prol da educação e cidadania, a
transformação e as mudanças sociais a partir da educação que iria nortear o que foi
concebido como políticas sociais pensadas pelo Movimento Graal em Portugal, nos difíceis
tempos que antecederam a Revolução de Abril de 1974. A metodologia de Paulo Freire,
apropriada e adaptada pelo Movimento Graal, pode ser experimentada ,trabalhada
diretamente com ele, podendo ir além de fazer ler e escrever,visando a transformação social
e o combate as desigualdades. A educação apresenta-se assim como um processo de
conscientização, onde o dialogo ocupa lugar central, fundamento para a promoção e
desenvolvimento das políticas sociais.
This study seeks to analyze and reflect the relationship between Paulo Freire and the Graal Movement, through their encounter through Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo and the Movement leaders, to the construction of the educational experience in Portugal and the consequent social practices and policies outlined by the Grail (1970 to 1974). The contribution of this meeting, researched through bibliographical, documentary and interviews analysis, is the main objective of this work, which aims to understand the course built for the benefit of education and citizenship, transformation and social changes based on education that would guide what was conceived as social policies thought by the Grail Movement in Portugal in the difficult times that preceded the Revolution of April of 1974. Paulo Freire's methodology, appropriated and adapted by the Grail Movement, can be experienced, worked directly with him, and can go beyond reading and writing, aiming at social transformation and combating inequalities. Education is thus a process of awareness, where dialogue occupies a central place, a foundation for the promotion and development of social policies
