Abstract(s)
Convocando um território fortemente gravado pela História, a região
algarvia em torno de Vila do Bispo, entre Lagos e Sagres, esta dissertação
visa encontrar estratégias que unam e consolidem as memórias e as
projetem no futuro.
Para tanto, a dissertação procura apontar e mapear os pontos de interesse
cultural, arqueológico, histórico e etnográfico conhecidos, seja no território
propriamente dito, seja no mar, através da identificação e localização dos
naufrágios ocorridos ao longo da costa.
Desta forma, e recorrendo aos instrumentos da Arquitetura, propõe-se a
compreensão deste amplo espaço de terra e mar através da definição de
um percurso, de que partem outros percursos e trilhos, que possibilite o
reconhecimento da memória desta paisagem. Esta definição conduz a uma
proposta de intervenção num lugar específico, o estuário da Boca do Rio,
que apesar das suas dimensões, nos surgiu como o local onde toda a
História deste território converge de várias formas.
ABSTRACT: Summoning a territory strongly engraved by History, the Algarve region around Vila do Bispo, between Lagos and Sagres, this dissertation aims to find strategies that unite and consolidate memories and design them in the future. In order to do so, the dissertation seeks to map and map the points of cultural, archaeological, historical and ethnographic interest known, either in the territory itself or in the sea, through the identification and location of the wrecks along the coast. In this way, and using the instruments of Architecture, it is proposed to understand this wide space of land and sea through the definition of a route, from which other routes and tracks depart, which allows the recognition of the memory of this landscape. This definition leads to a proposal to intervene in a specific place, the estuary of Boca do Rio, which despite its size, has emerged as the place where all the history of this territory converges various forms.
