Abstract(s)
O presente Projeto Final de Mestrado é inserido no tema “Projetar com Luz, Cor e Matéria” tendo como finalidade uma proposta de reabilitação, ao projetar e qualificar os espaços com base na aplicação dos elementos: luz, cor e matéria.
No decorrer deste trabalho foi necessário o aprofundamento dos conceitos de Conservação, Restauro e Reabilitação, de forma a auxiliar nas decisões de projeto, na preservação de elementos presentes no edifício a intervir.
Deste modo, é proposto um projeto de reabilitação para o Antigo Hospital Militar de Belém, na Ajuda, e a sua adaptação num Centro de Artes e Ofícios com o objetivo de respeitar o valor da pré-existência, bem como desenvolver uma relação entre a envolvente e a população residente, de forma a revitalizar o local. Porém, também foi desenvolvida uma proposta urbana, na criação de espaço de permanência, com a finalidade de quebrar as barreiras físicas existentes na área de intervenção.
A proposta de intervenção tem como finalidade a relação da pré-existência com a envolvente e restabelecer a interação social a partir de um equipamento que proporcione a integração do património, outrora esquecido, e na sua adaptação às necessidades atuais da sociedade.
ABSTRACT: This Final Master’s Project is inserted in the theme “Project with Light, Color and Matter” with the purpose of a rehabilitation proposal, when project and qualifying spaces based on the application of the elements: light, color and matter. In the course of this work, it was necessary to deepen the concepts of Conservation, Restoration and Rehabilitation, in order to assist in project decisions, in the preservation of elements present in the building to intervene. Thus, a rehabilitation project is proposed for the Former Military Hospital of Belém, in Ajuda, and its adaptation into an Arts and Crafts Center with the aim of respecting the value of pre-existence, as well as developing a relationship between the environment and the resident population, in order to revitalize the site. However, an urban proposal was also developed, in the creation of permanence space, with the purpose of breaking existing physical barriers in the intervention area. The intervention proposal aims at the relationship between pre-existence and the surroundings and restoring social interaction from an equipment that provides the integration of once-forgotten heritage and in adapting it to the current needs of society.
