A paisagem campestre dos arredores de Lisboa no século XVIII
transformou-se com a construção das Quintas de Recreio. Utilizadas
como refúgios da nobreza, assentavam numa dualidade inerente ao seu
conceito, na qual o lazer era aliado à utilidade económica. Assim, a
evolução da tipologia da casa senhorial permitiu garantir o seu sustento
através da exploração dos terrenos agrícolas e pomares que a ladeavam.
Neste contexto, surge a Quinta de Recreio do Marquês de Pombal em
Oeiras, objeto de estudo do presente Projeto Final de Mestrado,
destacando-se pelo seu valor arquitetónico e histórico. Definida como um
exemplo de património vivo mas esquecido, procura-se a valorização do
mesmo, de modo a que este não se degrade e desapareça.
A MEMÓRIA COMO FUTURO DA QUINTA DE RECREIO DO MARQUÊS
DE POMBAL - Reabilitação do conjunto da Casa da Pesca para um
Centro de Artes, é a proposta de desenho que procura dialogar com a
memória do lugar, de forma a que a sua identidade seja preservada no
futuro da Quinta. Propõe-se assim a criação de um Centro de Artes com
espaços que possibilitem a investigação, produção e difusão artística,
proporcionando momentos de partilha e encontro, através de uma
intervenção contemporânea que estabelece uma relação intrínseca entre
a arquitetura e a natureza, onde o projeto toma partido da paisagem,
integrando-se nela.
ABSTRACT: The countryside landscape around Lisbon in the 18th century was transformed with the construction of Quintas de Recreio. Used as a refuge for the nobility, they were based on a duality inherent to their concept, in which leisure was combined with economic utility. The evolution of the manor houses typology has made it possible to guarantee its livelihood through the exploitation of agricultural land and the orchards that flank it. In this context the Quinta de Recreio do Marquês de Pombal located in Oeiras appears as the object of study in this Final Master Project, that stands out for its architectural and historical value. Defined as an example of an alive but forgotten heritage, the aim is to enhance it, so that it does not deteriorate and disappear. So MEMORY AS THE FUTURE OF QUINTA DE RECREIO DO MARQUÊS DE POMBAL - Rehabilitation of the Casa da Pesca complex to an Arts Centre is the proposal that intends to dialogue with the memory of the place so that its identity is preserved for the future of the Quinta. It is proposed to create an Arts Centre with spaces that provide moments of sharing and meetings through a contemporary intervention that establishes an intrinsic relationship between architecture and nature, where the project takes advantage of the landscape, integrating itself into it.
