Habitar em desassossegada permanência trata de habitar num qualquer território de forma
transitória. O habitat abrigo unifamiliar projectado para esse objectivo é guiado pela
contingência de resolver, temporariamente, lacunas habitacionais deixadas por um sismo, não
tão hipotético, na Área Metropolitana de Lisboa. O século XX deixou -nos inúmeros casos de
estudo de respostas da Arquitectura a situações de emergência bem como o trabalho de
pensadores, arquitectos e designers que ainda hoje são relevantes neste universo de
actuação. O sismo, enquanto contingência, revela -se uma oportunidade para encontrar o
papel do arquitecto nesta prática e entender as consequências no edificado e na população
que pode causar. O trabalho realizado neste Plano B, alcunha dada a este projecto, aborda a
questão basilar do Habitar de forma emergente. Numa ancorarão transitória ao solo o Plano
age e protege uma família fazendo recurso do espaço mínimo (desenhado à medida do corpo
humano) da cubicagem, dos materiais naturais e recicláveis e da baixa tecnologia -um eco de
uma arquitectura que vive construtiva e energeticamente dos recursos naturais ,dos elementos
naturais (sol, vento) e dos equipamentos que a activam por um sistema de plug-in. Uma
arquitectura que admite características da performance, assumidamente uma solução
transitória, que abriga sem pretensões de imortalidade, projectada para qualquer lugar sendo
para este um estímulo para uma mudança comunitária e social.
ABSTRACT - Dwelling in permanent restless approaches the question of dwelling in any giving territory transitorily. The single family shelter designed for this purpose is guided by the contingency of filling in, temporarily, the housing gaps left behind the event, not so hypothetical, of na earthquake in the Metropolitan Area of the Lisbon region. The twentieth century gave us countless study cases of architectural responses to emergency situations as well as the work of thinkers, architects and designers who still remain relevant in this scope of action. The earthquake, as contingency, presents itself as an opportunity to find out the role of the architect in this universe and to understand the consequences in the built environment and in populations that it can ca use. The work done in this Plan B, nickname given to the project, addresses the cornerstone question of dwelling in the most emergent manner. In a transient anchoring to the soil Plan B acts and protects a family making use of the minimum essential space (drawn from the measure of the human body), of volume, of natural and recyclable materials and of low -tech –an echo of an architecture that lives constructive and energetically from natural resources and from equipment which activates it through a Plug -in system. An architecture that admits performance features, openly a transitory solution, which houses without pretentions of immortality, designed for any given place transforming itself in an incentive for a community and social change.
