Este trabalho tem como objetivo explorar como usar a leitura literária para ensinar o léxico português a estudantes universitários chineses, o que envolve primeiro a compreensão de duas questões fundamentais, a saber: 1) que tipo de atividade prática é a leitura literária? 2) qual é o propósito do ensino lexical?
Para tanto, combinando a teoria com a prática, e por meio da leitura da literatura nos campos relevantes e da observação da experiência pessoal de aprendizagem, currículos e materiais didáticos, a tese centra-se nos seguintes objetivos específicos: 1) analisar teoricamente os prós e contras da aplicação da literatura ao ensino lexical de línguas estrangeiras; 2) investigar a situação atual da utilização da literatura para o ensino do vocabulário português nas universidades chinesas; 3) estudar a possibilidade de melhorar a aplicação deste método de ensino no contexto referido e propor um quadro de em três etapas para o ensino lexical, usando o Método “II”, numa tentativa de otimizar a situação deste ensino na China.
The main goal of this thesis is to explore how to use literary reading to teach Portuguese vocabulary to Chinese university students. This first involves the understanding of the two most basic questions, namely, 1) what kind of practical activity is literary reading; 2) what is the purpose of vocabulary teaching. Therefore, combining theory with practice, and through reading literature in relevant fields and observing personal learning experience, curricula and teaching materials, the thesis focuses on the following specific objectives: 1) theoretically analyze the pros and cons of applying literature to foreign language vocabulary teaching; 2) investigate the current situation of the use of literature for teaching Portuguese vocabulary in Chinese universities; 3) study the possibility of improving the application of this teaching method in the referred context and propose a three-stage framework for vocabulary teaching using Method “II”, in an attempt to optimize the situation of this teaching in China.
