The importance of medical ethics education as a fundamental part of the training of health professionals has been increasingly valued worldwide. Since 1999, at the 51st General Assembly of the World Medical Association in Tel Aviv, AMM strongly recommends medical schools that the teaching of Medical Ethics and Human Rights should be included as a compulsory subject in their curricula.1,2 It is crucial that the ethical curriculum between different medical schools is homogenized. In this sense, several groups have been working for the creation and implementation of guidelines for medical ethics curricula in the different medical schools, with the aim of improving the quality of Ethics’ education worldwide. Thus, I intend, during this Final Master's Work, to focus on the analysis of the different programs of Medical Ethics and on the variety of forms of teaching that exist in our country. I also intend to analyze and compare the forms of teaching and the importance given to Medical Ethics Curricula in the Western and Eastern worlds, seeking to analyze the weaknesses and strengths of each one. I will, at least, dedicate myself to the creation of guidelines for medical ethics curricula, contributing to the standardization of curricula between different schools, with the objective of training ethically competent professionals, leading to a better medicine practice.
