A presente investigação visa contribuir para a validação da versão portuguesa do
EXPLORA – Questionário para a Orientação de Carreira de J. M. Martínez-Vicente e P.
Santamaría (2013), através de indicadores de validade e de precisão. Neste estudo
participaram 492 alunos do 9º ano da escolaridade no ano letivo 2017/2018, das escolas
secundárias de Beja, Setúbal e Lisboa.
Os resultados de precisão e validade indicam que a versão portuguesa do
EXPLORA apresenta boas características psicométricas. Os resultados dos coeficientes
alfa de Cronbach e da análise das correlações entre as escalas e subescalas indicam uma
forte consistência interna deste instrumento. Na análise dos componentes principais das
subescalas, foram identificados seis fatores cuja estrutura permitiu apoiar a validade de
construção do instrumento.
Verificaram-se ainda correlações moderadas a fortes que variam entre .60 e .75 na
análise das correlações entre as escalas profissionais do EXPLORA com as escalas da
versão portuguesa do Self Directed Search, indicando assim, uma correspondência entre
os campos profissionais do EXPLORA com as escalas do SDS.
This research aims to contribute to the validation of the portuguese version of the EXPLORA - Career Guidance Questionnaire of J. M. Martínez-Vicente and P. Santamaría (2013), through validity and precision indicators. In this study, 492 students of the 9th grade of elementary school participated in the 2017/2018 school year, from the secondary schools of Beja, Setúbal and Lisbon. Precision and validity results indicate that the Portuguese version of EXPLORA has good psychometric characteristics. The Cronbach's alpha coefficients and the analysis of correlations between scales and subscales reveals a strong internal consistency of this instrument. The principal components analisys of the subscales, indentifies six factors that support construct validity of the instrument. Moderate to strong correlations ranging from .60 to .75 were also found in the analysis of correlations between EXPLORA and the Portuguese version of Self Directed Search scales, supporting the conception of a correspondence between EXPLORA and SDS.
