Sendo área marginalizada tanto no contexto do ensino-aprendizagem de PLE como
da tradução, o provérbio, de facto, merece a nossa análise e o nosso estudo. A razão
fundamental para tal facto prende-se estreitamente com a sua particularidade e o seu
peso em qualquer língua e cultura. Relativamente aos aprendentes ou tradutores com
chinês por língua materna, os provérbios podem servir como uma janela para abrir um
mundo intercultural. Porém, devido aos recursos limitados nesta área (em particular do
português europeu), os aprendentes, os ensinantes e os tradutores deparam-se com a
dificuldade de encontrar uma ferramenta de consulta bilingue para apoiar o seu
processo de ensino-aprendizagem e o trabalho de tradução. Esta dissertação tenta, por
um lado, explorar o conceito de provérbio nas perspetivas bicultural (europeia e chinesa)
e bidisciplinar (ensino-aprendizagem e tradução); por outro lado, permite-me, partindo
da minha visão como aprendente, ensinante e tradutora, dar os primeiros passos rumo
à construção dum dicionário bilingue explicativo dos provérbios portugueses para
chineses, simultaneamente explorando as estratégias de realização de tal dicionário, de
modo que consiga responder às necessidades atuais do público-alvo.
Proverbs indeed deserve our attention to both analyse and study, because of their particularity and significance in every language and culture, although being considered a minor area, both in the context of teaching and learning of Portuguese as a foreign language, and of translation. For learners or translators with Chinese as their mother tongue, foreign proverbs can serve as a window to open an intercultural world. However, due to limited resources in this area (in particular for European Portuguese), learners, teachers and translators face strain in finding a bilingual reference tool to help them or support their teaching-learning process and their translation work. On the one hand, this dissertation, tries to explore the concept of proverb both from the bicultural (European and Chinese) and bidisciplinary perspectives (teaching-learning and translation); on the other hand, it allows the author, via her vision either as a learner, a teacher and a translator, to give some first steps in order to build an explanatory bilingual dicionary about Portuguese proverbs for Chinese users, and, at the same time, to explore some strategies which can make this dicionary suitable to respond its users’ current requirements.
