A Arquitetura tem de tudo aquilo que é de mais nobre. Sendo um dos aspetos mais importantes dessa nobreza é o construir. Não só o construir de novo, mas também o antigo, sendo esta uma das intervenções mais fascinantes em arquitetura. É como uma viagem ao passado trazendo para o nosso presente, um legado tipológico que numa era distante fazia sentido que assim fosse pensado e construído. Desta forma, a intervenção nesses edifícios antigos é executada com um cuidado extremo, adotando estratégias interventivas muito bem planeadas e posteriormente bem aplicadas num processo construtivo adequado.
Neste documento de Projeto Final de Mestrado abordei, de uma forma interventiva, um projeto de reabilitação sustentável, de uma quinta de recreio, a quinta do Paço de Tentúgal, um edifício datado do início do século XVI e com influências Renascentistas, que veio sofrendo alterações até a atualidade de hoje.
Este trabalho passa por 3 níveis de intervenção, o primeiro nível passa por um processo de reabilitação no edifício principal do Paço, onde foram implementados os materiais construtivos adequados e sustentáveis ao edifício.
No segundo nível, é feita uma intervenção no edifício adjacente ao Edifício Principal, Lado Poente, o Celeiro Grande, este edifício é a construção mais antiga do paço e onde a originalidade construtiva se manteve ao longo dos séculos.
O terceiro nível, foi desenvolver uma proposta de um novo equipamento, do lado Nascente do Paço. O programa designa a construção de um módulo de habitação, com funções de descanso, habitação não permanente, baseado em metodologias construtivas sustentáveis, climatização passiva “NZEB” e numa escolha dos materiais construtivos em que, desde a sua conceção, das matérias-primas base de origem, à sua aplicação, tenham um impacto mínimo na biodiversidade local.
Arquitecture has everything that his of the most noble. And one of the aspects of most importance of this nobility, is to build. To build has, not only the idea to build from the beginning, but also to recover the old and ancient. It´s like a trip to the past, bringing to awer present, the legacy of a distant era, which in those ancient times had some meaning and a justification to be built like so. In this way, the intervention in these old buildings, must be applied and executed with a very methodical planning and care, adopting intervening strategies very well planned and consequently well applied in a suitable constructive process. In this document, I have approached, in an interventive way, a sustainable rehabilitation project of an old Palace, dated from the XVI century, with renaissance influences, that has been suffering alterations until the present day. For that, this work was divided in three stages of intervention and planning. The first stage went throw a rehabilitation project of the main building, the Palace, by the implementation of constructive materials, that were the most suitable and sustainable to the building. The second stage was the intervention of the connected building, that is the old Barn, on the north side of the Palace, this building is the oldest one, and it has maintained is constructive originality over the centuries. The third stage it was the creations of a new equipment on the south side of the propriety. The program defines a creation of a resting house, non-permanent habitation, based in sustainable materials and passive ways of climatization (NZEB), and the best choice possible, of sustainable materials, that from beginning of their material conception to their appliance, the impact on the local biodiversity was meant to be minimum.
