Abstract(s)
Assim, a relação
presente, motivando assim as ideias, questões, intenções e objetivos deste
trabalho.
ABSTRACT: The problematic of the deindustrialization of the city and its subsequent uncontrolled modernization defines the construction of the Alcântara Valley, making it a fragmented thread of deactivated infrastructures, impossible to relate to the rest of the city. The picturesque aspect that once characterized it – defined by the serpentlike stream and the cultivated fields - is a visual reference that serves as a motto for the utopian line of thougt that composes the adopted strategy. Thus, the relationship between the place and the project is based on past memory and the present situation, subsequently motivating the ideas, questions, intentions and objectives of this work. It is through revitalization and renaturalization that harmony between the natural and the artificial is sought, making it essential to consolidate the green structure of Lisbon, contributing to the ecology and mitigation of the effects of climate change. It becomes evident the need to build new urban fronts with adequate density, meeting the population increase in the city and the consolidation of the waiting spaces in the city. The urban and creative natural park is defined from the water line of the old stream, with spaces for cultivation and leisure, where culture, circular agricultural fields, Art and Land Art contribute to the formulation of a landscape. It is on the slopes that the park front is defined, with programs of several uses, where housing is predominant. Thus, the buildings work the border between the artifact and the natural, absorbing from the bottom of the valley the relationship with water. From a direct contact with Nature springs the proposal presented here.
