Motivada pela transformação no Vale de
Alcântara que o desproveu das suas qualidade naturais
através de um processo de modernização intenso,
a proposta actua sobre a premissa de devolver este
lugar à cidade de Lisboa.
Através de uma abordagem multidisciplinar,
a estratégia para a definição da proposta, pretende
chegar a um conjunto de soluções abrangentes
às diferentes áreas de acção, de modo que estas,
funcionem numa relação de interdependência.
Com a remoção de certas infraestruturas viárias
e a construção de uma frente edificada que consolide
zonas urbanas, a restruturação do vale ambiciona
compreender e conjugar diferentes realidades, e,
ao mesmo tempo, permitir a utilização dos espaços
agora inacessíveis.
O parque urbano é proposto como um
instrumento de renaturalização. Através da introdução
desta infraestrutura verde, é desejada a reintegração
das mais valias naturais do Vale de Alcântara.
Motivated by the transformation in the Alcântara Valley that stripped it of its natural qualities through a process of intense modernization, the proposal acts on the premise of returning this place to the city of Lisbon. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the strategy for the definition of the proposal aims to reach a set of solutions that cover different areas of action, in a way that they work in a relationship of interdependence. With the removal of certain road infrastructures and the construction of a built front that consolidates urban areas, the restructuring of the valley aims to understand and combine different realities, and at the same time, allow the use of spaces that are now inaccessible. The urban park is proposed as an instrument of renaturalization. Through the introduction of this green infrastructure, the reintegration of the natural values of the Alcântara Valley is desired.
