| dc.description.abstract | This internship report, carried out in the context of the master’s degree in Museology and Museography, aims to describe the work developed by the author at the Museu Nacional do Azulejo between October of 2021 and July 2022. The objective of this stage was the organization of several containers of tiles belonging to the "Old Fund" of MNAz, followed by the study of two sets of tile panels of the eighteenth century. It was intended to determine data that could be significant, regarding their production, provenance, and style, in order to contribute to future studies. The report is divided into three chapters. The first concerns a historical approach and the functioning of the institution, considering aspects such as the passage from convent to museum, but also addressing its collections and its exhibition path. The second chapter corresponds to the report of practical activities, that is, all activities that were developed during the practical internship at MNAz. Thus, the first contact with the containers is mentioned, emphasizing the methodologies. The third chapter concerns the analysis of the two sets of panels of the “Old Fund” of the MNAz, seeking to explain their stylistic and historical characteristics, and addressing issues due to its state of conservation. The fourth and final chapter presents some considerations regarding the role of reconstructions in safeguarding the tile heritage, materializing this aspect with and exhibition proposal. | pt_PT |
