A realização deste trabalho teve como principal objectivo compreender a importância das representações sociais na aprendizagem da matemática dos formandos jovens adultos e adultos pouco escolarizados a frequentar cursos de Educação e Formação de Adultos. Escolhi este tema pois, em Portugal, o insucesso na matemática é muito elevado, o que conduz a situações problemáticas relacionadas com esta lacuna. Tentei, através da minha experiência, relatar situações e apresentar soluções alternativas ao ensino da matemática.
This work had as main objective to understand the importance of social representations of mathematics learning of students - young adults and adults with little schooling - the courses Education and Training of Adults. I chose this topic because in Portugal, the failure in mathematics is very high, leading to problematic situations related to this gap. I tried, through my experience, reporting situations and present alternatives to the teaching of mathematics.
