Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho consiste numa proposta de reabilitação do Regimento do Quartel dos Lanceiros Nº 2 situado em Lisboa, nos limites que unem as Freguesias da Ajuda e de Belém, com o objetivo de o reconverter a um novo uso e, simultaneamente, integrá-lo na comunidade e tecido urbano.
Este objecto pertence ao Património Militar e está localizado sobre uma colina na Calçada da Ajuda, o eixo que liga Ajuda a Belém, que reúne edifícios e territórios com um grande valor histórico e apresenta uma localização privilegiada sobre a cidade de Lisboa. Este lugar expõe um conjunto de desafios que incluem a carência de equipamentos públicos, em quantidade e qualidade, a diversidade de terrenos expectantes, a disparidade de realidades socio-culturais e o envelhecimento populacional.
Através de um programa com uma diversidade de usos pretende-se ajustar e satisfazer as necessidades da comunidade local e promover a vinda de uma nova geração. Para tal, pretende propor-se uma restruturação urbana aumentando a permeabilidade e consolidação da área de intervenção e a alocação de um Laboratório Recreativo que ofereça uma multiplicidade de serviços. A intervenção contemporânea no Património Militar visa a valorização da pré-existência através da sua reconversão e permite a coesão entre o tecido antigo e novo da cidade, resultando numa dicotomia de tempos que convivem harmoniosamente.
A elaboração do presente trabalho permitiu, assim, uma abordagem crítica de diferentes conceitos que permitissem valorizar um edifício dotado de um grande valor histórico e patrimonial e, dessa forma valorizar aquele lugar.
The present work consists in a proposal for the rehabilitation of Regimento do Quartel dos Lanceiros nº 2, located on the borders that unite the parishes of Ajuda and Belém, in Lisbon, with the purpose of reconverting the building to a new use and, simultaneously, integrating the building in the community and urban fabric. This object belongs to the Military Heritage and is located on a hill, on Calçada da Ajuda, the axis that connects Ajuda to Belém, which is a road that brings together buildings and territories of great historical value and has a privileged location over the city of Lisboa. It presents a set of challenges that include the lack of public facilities, in quantity and quality, the diversity of expectant terrains, the disparity of socio-cultural realities and the aging of the population. Through a program with a variety of uses, it is intended to adjust and satisfy the needs of the local community and promote the coming of a new generation. To this end, it is intended to propose an urban restructuring, increasing the permeability and consolidation of the intervention area and allocating a Recreational Laboratory that offers a multiplicity of services. The contemporary intervention in the Military Heritage aims to enhance the pre-existence through its refunctionalization as to allow cohesion between the old and new fabric of the city, resulting in a richer whole, the result of a dichotomy of times that coexist harmoniously. The elaboration of the present work allowed, therefore, a critical approach of different concepts that allowed to value a building endowed with a great historical and patrimonial value and, in this way, to value that place.
