Este relatório é o culminar do estágio curricular, realizado no Sport Lisboa e Benfica, secção de andebol, mais propriamente no andebol feminino. Este documento procura retratar a minha experiência na modalidade, onde o foco passou por adquirir e aperfeiçoar as minhas competências e, assim, crescer enquanto gestora do desporto. O objetivo central da intervenção foi o acompanhamento das equipas de juniores e seniores femininos do clube. Desta forma, foi possível compreender a maneira como toda a estrutura está organizada e como deverá ser dirigido o clube por forma a atingir os seus objetivos a curto, médio e longo prazo. Perceber como deve ser feita a gestão estratégica da modalidade, de forma a regressar aos antigos triunfos e ao prestígio que detinha. Assim, o meu papel nesta entidade foi de team manager de ambas as equipas, tendo sido realizadas diversas atividades em vários departamentos, com vista a perceber melhor como funcionava a organização. Foram sentidas algumas dificuldades no âmbito da literatura referente ao andebol feminino, possivelmente devido ao ainda reduzido mediatismo da modalidade. As conclusões retiradas deste estágio curricular estão diretamente relacionadas com as tarefas realizadas, tornando-se evidente que o papel do team manager nas organizações de desporto é absolutamente imprescindível.
This report is the culmination of the curricular internship, held at Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Handball Section, more specifically in Women's Handball. This document seeks to portray my experience in the sport, where the focus was acquiring and improve my skills to grow as a sport manager. The central objective of the intervention was following the management process of the Junior and Senior Women's teams of the club. In this way, it was possible to understand how the whole structure is organized and how the club should be managed to achieve its short, medium, and long-term goals. It will also allow us to understand how the strategic management of the sport should be carried out, to return to the old triumphs and the prestige it held. Thus, my role in this entity was as a team manager for both teams, with several activities going through various departments to better understand how the organization work. Some difficulties were felt in the scope of the literature referring to Women's Handball, possibly due to the still reduced media coverage of the sport. The conclusions drawn from this curricular internship are directly related to the tasks performed, making it evident that the team manager’s role in sports organizations is essential.
