Resumo(s)
The educational offer is one of the central elements of the University of Lisbon website, serving as the main channel for communicating educational opportunities to the academic community and the general public. To ensure its availability, it is necessary to gather and consolidate academic information from different data sources, ensuring that all programs and their details are communicated accurately and accessibly. Until now, this process has been supported by a collaborative Excel file, updated annually, in which the different departments of the Rectorate enter the data that make up the educational offer. These data result from prior academic workflows, such as the allocation of vacancies and the definition of tuition fees, among others. Although effective as a temporary solution, this model relies heavily on manual and decentralized procedures, leading to redundancies, delays, and potential errors. In addition, the publication of the educational offer on the institutional website depends on importing this file, which makes the process more time-consuming and complex. The main objective of this work is to overcome these limitations through the creation of a functionality in the Fenix system that enables the direct publication of the University of Lisbon’s educational offer on the institutional website. This functionality ensures that the published data always correspond to the official and validated information, eliminating dependence on manual processes and enhancing the reliability of public communication. In addition to publishing the educational offer, this work includes the modeling of processes as workflows in Fenix, which orchestrate and validate the academic information flows that feed the offer. Within the scope of this project, two specific processes were defined and implemented: entrance exams and the last-placed student grades. These workflows ensure that the data entered into the system result from structured and controlled procedures, contributing to a more consistent management of academic information.
