| dc.description.abstract | O Guia Inconvencional para o Espaço Natural investiga a relação do ser humano com a natureza e, mais especificamente, a sua relação com o espaço natural, com o objetivo de criar um objeto editorial sustentável, capaz de guiar o leitor para uma reflexão acerca da sua relação com o espaço natural envolvente. A 1ª parte desta investigação explora a perceção de espaço, da natureza e do espaço natural pelo ser humano; tal como do papel do design para alterar os comportamento humano, das vertentes e práticas para a sustentabilidade do design editorial; e ainda do livro-brinquedo como agente de mudança pela emanecipação dos sentidos através da prática lúdica. Antes de se passar à 2ª parte da investigação são analisados 2 casos de estudo: Destrói Este Diário, de Keri Smith; e Um ano inteiro, almanaque da natureza, de Isabel Minhós Pinheiro e Bernardo P. Carvalho. A 2ª parte dedica-se ao desenvolvimento do projeto. Esta parte da investigação, descreve o processo de produção do objeto editorial Guia Inconvencional para o Espaço Natural. É descrito como cada parte do conteúdo foi criada e organizada, nomeadamente os exercícios que compõem o Guia. De seguida, é exposto todo o desenvolvimento da forma do protótipo do objeto editorial, desde a ideia original até ao formato final do protótipo. Depois, descreve-se todo o processo de workshops individuais realizados para testar o protótipo, antes de analisar os mesmos resultados, para tirar conclusões de aspetos a melhorar do mesmo. Por fim, são descritas todas as melhorias feitas, que se refletem na versão final do Guia Inconvencional para o Espaço Natural. | pt |
| dc.description.abstract | The Unconventional Guide to Natural Space investigates the relationship between human beings and nature and, more specifically, their relationship with natural space, with the aim of creating a sustainable editorial object capable of guiding the reader to reflect on their relationship with the surrounding natural space. The 1st part of this research explores the perception of space, nature and natural space by human beings; the role of design in changing human behaviour, the aspects and practices for sustainable editorial design; and the toy-book as an agent of change through the emancipa-tion of the senses through playful practice. Before moving on to the second part of the research, two case studies are analysed: Destrói Este Diário, by Keri Smith; and Um ano inteiro, almanaque da natureza, by Isabel Minhós Pinheiro and Bernardo P. Carvalho. The 2nd part is dedicated to the development of the project. This part of the research de-scribes the process of producing the editorial object Unconventional Guide to Natural Space. It describes how each part of the content was created and organised, namely the exercises that make up the Guide. Next, the entire development of the editorial object's prototype form is explained, from the original idea to the final prototype format. Then the whole pro-cess of individual workshops held to test the prototype is described, before the results are analysed to draw conclusions on aspects to improve. Finally, all the improvements made are described, which are reflected in the final version of the Unconventional Guide to Natural Space. | en |
