A cidade de Lisboa na Idade Média: fontes de informação do Arquivo Municipal

Este é um estudo suportado pelo método de pesquisa e análise documental, em que o autor, a partir dos instrumentos de acesso à informação, enquanto instrumentos de mediação entre os utilizadores reais ou potenciais e a informação documental, identifica e analisa criticamente os documentos acumulados e conservados no Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa, designadamente no Fundo histórico, relevantes para o estudo da cidade de Lisboa na Idade Média. Dentre os diversos instrumentos de acesso à informação, integrando os reportórios ‘modernos’ e os inventários mais recentes, são destacados o Guia de Fundos do Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa e o Guia do Estudante de História Medieval Portuguesa. Como conclusão, continua a faltar um estudo orgânico-funcional sistémico, que considere a Câmara Municipal e os demais órgãos, alguns deles de natureza unipessoal, de forma diacrónica, de modo a suportar a elaboração de futuros instrumentos de acesso à informação.
This study is supported by a documentary research and analysis method, in which the author uses finding aid instruments, as tools of mediation between real or potential users and the documentary information, to identify and critically analyze the accumulated and kept documents in the Municipal Archives of Lisbon, namely in the historical holdings, relevant to the study of the city of Lisbon in the Middle Ages. Among the various finding aids integrating the ‘modern’ repertoires and the most recent inventories, the Municipal Archives of Lisbon Holdings Guide and the Student of Medieval Portuguese History Guide are highlighted. It is concluded that there is a lack of a systemic organic-functional study, that should consider the City Council and the other bodies, some of them of a one-person nature, in a diachronic way, in order to support the development of future finding aid instruments.
