O presente documento incide na necessidade de Timor-Leste ter um equipamento arquitetónico permanente, que possa acolher vários eventos, servindo como polo dinamizador de atividades culturais e de lazer - o Centro Cultural de Díli. A pesquisa é baseada na procura e entendimento da cultura local, sendo a música, um dos seus pontos fortes e condicentes com a arquitetura. A identidade cultural e a música são os temas aqui apresentados. Sobre eles realizou-se uma pesquisa mais profunda, relacionando sempre com a arquitetura de Timor-Leste.
O documento conta com uma vertente de contextualização de Timor (atendendo ao facto de ser um território desconhecido), detendo principalmente a atenção em Díli (capital de Timor-Leste e local de intervenção), pelo que uma abordagem à sua formação enquanto cidade também é tida em conta. Por se tratar de um país em desenvolvimento, as carências evidenciadas na sua estrutura social e urbana são abordadas na pesquisa. Para concluir o documento, é apresentado o projeto através do conceito/forma, materialidade e programa.
The present document focuses on the need for Timor-Leste to have permanent architectural equipment that can host various events, serving as a hub for cultural and leisure activities - the Dili Cultural Center. The research is based on the search for and understanding of the local culture, music being one of it’s strengths and consistent with architecture. The themes presented here are cultural identity and music. A more in-depth research is done on them (cultural identity and music), always the objective of relating to architecture and the country to intervene. The document has contextualization aspect of Timor (taking into account the fact that it is an unknown territory), mainly focusing on Dili (capital of Timor-Leste and place of intervention), so an approach to its formation as a city is also taken into account. As it is a developing country, the deficiencies evidenced in its social and urban structure are addressed in the research. To conclude the document, the entire formation of the project is presented, through the concept/form, materiality, and program.
