In recent years, the sustainability of the cosmetics industry has assumed increasing relevance in people's daily lives. At the same time, new trends have emerged that increase innovation in this sector, such as the development of personalized and inclusive cosmetics, in which the expectations and specific needs of the end consumer are taken into account. Most brands have introduced changes not only in their products, but also in the way they communicate them, always guaranteeing the well-being of the population and the preservation of human health. Nevertheless, it is necessary to disseminate new guidelines to implement these cosmetics in the european market, thereby addressing the gaps between the various aspects already discussed and approved in the current regulation. This dissertation aims to evaluate the existing regulatory gaps in the implementation of personalized and inclusive cosmetics, as well as to discuss the solutions that may be adopted to overcome these obstacles. Furthermore, this dissertation aims to summarize the relationship between the cosmetics industry and the development of more inclusive and personalized formulations, highlighting their impact on sustainability. Following the literature review, the set of strategies that may be implemented is described, which can consequently promote the development of recommendations to facilitate the implementation of personalized and inclusive cosmetics on the market. Accordingly, this dissertation seeks to contribute to the advancement of a cosmetic industry that is more attuned to the evolving needs of contemporary society, by integrating innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability within the framework of existing regulatory requirements.
