The intention of this study was to explore the ecological validity of Conner's Continous Performance Test 3 Edition® (CCPT-3®), i.e., how the concepts of attention/attention or the construct of the difficulty in regulating attention in its components (processing speed, errors made, constancy and maintenance, among others that will be specified later) related to the reports of parents in the Conner's Revised Scale (ERC). To achieve these goals, a sample of 16 participants aged between 8 and 16 years was used and later divided into two groups, one with a diagnosis of Hyperactivity Disorder and Attention Deficit Deficit (ADHD) and the other without a diagnosis. Initially, a descriptive analysis of the samples was performed, as well as the nonparametric Mann-Whitney test to compare the differences between the two groups. Differences were found in ERC, but not in CCPT-3®. Finally, Pearson's correlation between these two instruments was performed and it was found that. the HRT and BLKCH variables present more correlations with the Social Problems; Cognitive Problems / Inattention, Conner's Index and Impulsivity. The results suggest that the use of CCPT-3® is advisable as it allows the creation of a neuropsychological performance profile of the individual, however it should be accompanied by other instruments that evaluate the ecological component.
