Estratégias de adaptabilidade na intervenção vocacional com jovens de 9º ano de escolaridade

Tomando como ponto de partida o conceito de Adaptabilidade (Savickas, 2012) e o modelo sobre as bases da maturidade na carreira (Super,1990), foi construído um programa de intervenção vocacional dirigido a jovens de 9º ano de escolaridade. Este relatório de investigação apresenta o estudo da influência desse programa na Adaptabilidade na carreira dos alunos de 9º ano. Participaram no estudo 169 alunos de duas escolas públicas: 82 alunos integraram o grupo experimental que seguiu o programa (11 sessões) e 87 alunos integraram o grupo controlo que teve apenas uma sessão de informação vocacional. O estudo permitiu concluir que a Adaptabilidade na carreira melhorou com a intervenção em formato programa, verificando-se ainda alterações significativas nas dimensões psicológicas de Confiança e Orientação para o Futuro (melhorou) e Orientação para o Passado (diminuiu). O estudo não confirmou a melhoria na dimensão Atribucional Interna de Sucesso. Discute-se ainda as implicações do estudo para a intervenção vocacional em contexto escolar.
Having as a starting point the concept of Adaptability (Savickas, 2012) and the model on the basis of career maturity (Super,1990), it was built a vocational course directed to young people of the 9th grade of schooling. The present research reports the study of the influence of this programme on Adaptability in career of students from 9th grade. Participated in the study 169 students from two public schools. The study allowed the conclusion that the career Adaptability has improved with the intervention and there were also significant changes in psychological dimensions of Confidence and Future Orientation (improved) and Past Orientation (decreased). The study did not confirm any improvement of the Internal Atribucional dimension of Success. Implications of the study for school interventions are further discussed.
