Nem todos os espaços de vivências urbanas são inclusivos, estimulam a mobilidade, convidam à pausa, permitem sentimentos de pertença e de segurança, promovem a convivência, ou agenciam afetos e conforto de forma generalizada às pessoas. O espaço público, tem sido concebido desde uma redutora lente heteronormativa e produz, não raras vezes, exclusão e expulsão; e o espaço privado (da casa) pode agenciar processos ambíguos, com efeitos de opressão ou liberdade, em relação direta com a identidade e expressão de género e orientação sexual. O webdocumentário que o Coletivo Aleph produziu tem como objetivo expor experiências vividas e atmosferas sentidas nos espaços público (e privado), pertencentes ao quotidiano de estudantes com diferente identidade e expressão de género e orientação sexual, conduzindo à discussão sobre a conceção heteronormativa do espaço urbano à luz do pensamento feminista. Para cumprir este propósito utilizaram-se técnicas qualitativas como o storytelling, storymapping, e go-along techniques e com recurso a interfaces digitais. A combinação de técnicas e instrumentos tradicionais e digitais representa um dos pontos fortes e diferenciadores desta investigação. Resultados mais globais com apelo à multiplicidade de técnicas comunicacionais (som, imagens, texto), podem ser explorados através do webdocumentário que resulta desta investigação disponível na internet (disponível em http://www.ceg.ulisboa.pt/mpps/#3).
Not all urban spaces are inclusive, nor are they inviting. They may also fail to stimulate mobility and permanence, or allow people to feel included and safe, and even shun expressions of love and/or comfort generalized to individuals. Public space is conceived with heteronormative lens, often emanating feelings of exclusion and expulsion; also, private spaces (home) can generate ambiguous processes, having effects on liberty and/or oppression, specially relating to gender identity and sexual orientation. The Colective Aleph’s webdocumentary aims to discuss experiences lived by students of differing gender identity and sexual orientation in public (and private) spaces, leading to the discussion of the heteronormative conception of urban space through a feminist perspective. To fulfill this goal, several qualitative techniques were used, like go-along techniques, storytelling and story mapping, resorting to digital interfaces. The combination of traditional instruments and digital techniques represents one of the strengths of this research. More global results, appealing to the various communication techniques (sound, image, text) can be explored through the web documentary resulting from this research (available at http://www.ceg.ulisboa.pt/mpps/#3).
