| dc.description.abstract | Com este estudo pretendo compreender os conhecimentos e capacidades que os futuros professores possuem sobre Estatística e sobre didática de Estatística, no âmbito de um programa de formação inicial de professores, com um foco no ensino e aprendizagem através de investigações estatísticas nos primeiros anos de escolaridade. Para isso, desenvolvo o quadro teórico em torno do ensino da Estatística nos primeiros anos e do conhecimento do professor na formação inicial de professores dos primeiros anos. Nesta investigação sigo o paradigma interpretativo, numa abordagem mista, usando sobretudo a modalidade de estudo de caso e com recurso a diversos instrumentos de recolha de dados. Atendendo à natureza do estudo, a análise dos dados é maioritariamente descritiva e interpretativa. Os resultados apontam para a grande influência da formação inicial na área da Estatística para o conhecimento estatístico e para o conhecimento didático do tema, mas onde os interesses e as características dos próprios formandos assumem igualmente um papel crucial. Surgem como implicações a necessidade de atender a essas características e de repensar a formação inicial do tema, especialmente na articulação entre pedagogia e conteúdo. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | With this study I intend to understand the knowledge and skills that prospective teachers have about Statistics and its Didactics, under a teacher education program, with a focus on teaching and learning through statistical investigations in the early years of schooling. For this, I develop a theoretical framework around the teaching of statistics in the early years and teacher knowledge in teacher education for the early years. In this research I follow the interpretative paradigm, in a mixed approach, using mainly the case study method and using various data collection instruments. Given the nature of the study, data analysis is mostly descriptive and interpretative. The results show the great influence of the teacher education in statistics for statistical knowledge and didactic knowledge of the subject, but where prospective teachers’ interests and characteristics also play a crucial role. Implications arise as the need to meet these characteristics and to rethink the teacher education programs of the subject, especially on the relationship between pedagogy and content. | por |
